Moon Mountain Recreational Area: New Trail Updates

The Village of Ruidoso Parks and Recreation Department has opened five new miles of trails on Moon Mountain, suitable for hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrian riders of moderate skill levels. These trails offer scenic views and wildlife encounters, accessible from 501 Gavilan Canyon Road. Visitors are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes, bring snacks and fluids, and follow Leave No Trace principles. Enjoy the enhanced outdoor recreational opportunities and natural beauty of Ruidoso. Grindstone Boat Ramp Construction Project

The Grindstone Lake boat ramp will be closed for three weeks effective April 22, 2022, for the construction of a boat ramp. Boaters can carry their kayaks and boats down the ramp but will not be able to drive down the ramp.
